The Project
The PREVENT project is a pioneering initiative focused on empowering higher education to address climate challenges through innovative applications of deep technologies. Grounded in the urgency of combating natural disasters exacerbated by climate change, PREVENT aims to revolutionize higher education curricula, fostering a new generation of professionals equipped with digital skills and environmental awareness.
The primary objective of PREVENT is to train higher education students in the strategic use of deep technologies, such as AI algorithms and microcontrollers, for the prevention of natural disasters. By integrating cutting-edge technologies into the curriculum, the project seeks to bridge the digital skills gap, instilling practical knowledge that directly contributes to disaster prevention and environmental sustainability.
Primary targets include higher education institutions, educators, and students in electrical, electronics, and computer engineering. The project is committed to encouraging female participation, breaking stereotypes, and fostering inclusivity.
PREVENT leverages a consortium of transnational partners, integrating Open Living Labs, Virtual Learning Labs, and Innovation Workshops. Deep tech and natural disaster experts actively contribute to a Pedagogical Guide, ensuring alignment with labor market needs.
